PLAGIARISM POLICY

Plagiarism Policy 

The Journal of Global Health Synapse is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited. 

1. Plagiarism Detection
   All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software to assess originality and similarity. Authors are expected to ensure that their work is original and properly cited. 
2. Author Responsibility
   Authors must confirm that their submission is original and has not been published elsewhere. Proper acknowledgment of all sources is mandatory.
3. Definition of Plagiarism
   Plagiarism includes copying ideas, text, data, tables, figures, or graphical material from other sources without appropriate citation. This also includes self-plagiarism, where authors reuse their own previously published work without disclosure. 
4. Citation and Attribution
   Any material taken directly from another source must be properly cited. Verbatim text should be placed within quotation marks or appropriately formatted.
5. Self-Plagiarism and Prior Work
   Reuse of content from theses, working papers, or conference proceedings must be clearly cited and disclosed at the time of submission. 
6. Figures, Tables, and Illustrations
   Reproduction of figures, charts, or tables from previously published work without proper citation or permission is considered plagiarism.
7. Disclosure Requirements
   Authors must disclose any overlap with previously published or submitted work in the cover letter to the editor. 
8. Editorial Action
   In cases of suspected plagiarism, the Editorial Board will investigate and take appropriate action, which may include manuscript rejection, correction, or retraction. 

By submitting a manuscript to Global Health Synapse, authors agree to comply with this plagiarism policy and uphold the principles of ethical scholarly publishing.
